This and That Tuesday

Owner's Barn

Even though I participate in Deb Duty's This or That Thursday, I have so many linkups and groups that I participate on Tuesdays that I think I could easily dub Tuesdays a "this and that" day. I've been busy finishing up my processing this morning so I don't have much time for words - just a little commentary. All of today's photos are a bit different, but they all have one thing in common. They were all shot on our Saturday excursion back up to the holler.Today's featured image is linked up with Bluff Area Daily's Barn Charm. This is the property owner's barn where my grandfather was a tenant farmer. The texture is courtesy of Pixel Dust Photo Art.(Old Master Dust)

For Kim Klassen's Texture Tuesday, the theme is "red" and I shot this picture of a latch on "The Corn Crib" in Gallatin, TN which is next door to the place we stopped for lunch that day. Trying to figure out what this place was exactly, I found that many people have photographed this door and done some creative things with it. I took quite a few shots myself, but this one seemed to work best for today. I think it is (or was) a health food store. I used Kim's "And Then Some" texture on it.

On Flickr, it is Happy Purple Tuesday and I submitted this shot of thistle taken on our walk up in the holler, and put a little French Kiss texture with it.

And, last but not least, Chris Sheddon at Shutter Sisters shared a picture of her husband and son walking along the beach which was processed in black and white. She challenged us to tell a story in black and white and I immediately thought of the many pictures I took of my dad and son as they walked up through the holler, sharing stories of dad's childhood.  I also used a bit of Kim's texture "Start" on this image.

That's all for today. I have to get busy linking up!
