Today's image was taken exactly a week ago on my foggy morning walk. I've been saving it to enter the Shoot Edit and Submit challenge. It is one of the last images I was able to process with RadLab before my trial ran out. I AM going to buy this program at some point, but I'm saving up for a new desktop so I'm waiting on any major software purchases until then.
I can give part of the processing credit to my son because as I was showing him about RadLab, he helped me choose the processing. It is nice to have another set of eyes sometimes.
When it comes to my favorite linkups, I've not been hitting on as much this week as usual. Part of it is the Marine/Military/Veteran focus, part of it was trying to get the last of the Christmas care packages together so my son would receive them before the holiday, and part of it is just the chaos of this week in my work life that has left me little time or energy for processing in the evenings.
Oh, and there was also a lot of white tornado house cleaning going on in my household(my long neglected house work) in preparation for a visit from my sweet daughter-in-law this weekend. I need to have company come over every so often just so I'm motivated to do something else in my spare time besides work with photographs.
Fortunately for me, most of the link ups have a pretty generous date range for accepting submissions, so I can still come late to the party. So, today I'm linking up with Photo Art Friday even though it is technically Saturday and I usually share my scavenger hunt finds on Saturday. I'll share those tomorrow, and besides, I have one more I'm after for this week that I should snag today.
As many have noticed the moon was particularly beautiful this week, and in between running here and there, I captured some decent shots of it. I would love to work more with them, but today's submission to PhotoArt Friday was done rather quickly.
I used Bonnied "Wicked" texture, and added a flock of birds from last Saturday to the composition. I've noticed I've been doing less and less photo art and more simple processing. Maybe my RadLabs trial was responsible for that, so I'm ready to get back into more textures and photoart now that I'm in a forced hiatus from Rad.
Today, the family and I are going to help out with the Tennessee Marine Family package drive and then kick back with a chili supper with my folks and just enjoy being together as a family. This makes me happy. :)
Since I've been sharing photos of my Marines I'll close today with my own little Marine family that includes my daughter-in-law. She's as tough as she is sweet. She'd have to be to endure what she has a Marine wife. If they give medals for that, she would certainly deserve one. Now, I've got to get those sleepyheads out of bed and get over to the package drive. Have a lovely Saturday all.
