Multitasking

trust in god

The weekly Quotography challenge has been a great incentive for me to experiment with typography and design, and it is also giving me motivation and inspiration for my line of greeting cards that I'm offering over at Greeting Card Universe. This week's theme was black and white, and I intended to link up with this shot from my foggy morning walk on the neighbor's property a couple of weeks ago but I missed the deadline! Oh, well. Go check out the wonderful works over there anyway.

Along those lines, I stumbled across Katie Lloyd Photography's "Scripture and a Snapshot" challenge, which has inspired this piece. I look forward to linking up with this one regularly as well and creating new cards in the process.

And, what the heck, this looks good for Deb Duty's This or That Thursday, so I'm making a triple play with this piece. I spent all morning working on the image, so I may as well make good use of it!

That said, I am running behind this morning so I must go for now. I will leave you with a couple of tips before I go:

First, I'm collecting my quotes in a flickr set and I recently discovered flickriver, which is a cool flickr viewer that showcases your images in an easy to view format on black, which makes everything look better. If you have time, check out my quotography set on flickriver here. You may want to try it out yourself if you haven't already.

Second, if you are interested in adding to your collection of fonts, Shadowhouse Creations is a good resource for finding free fonts on the web as well,

Have a blessed day all!

Thiry Days Of ThanksToday I am thankful for ...

The way God has led and protected me through the foggiest and darkest roads of my life.

  2. As always, your photo is stunning and the accompanying words so uplifting. Good luck to you with your greeting card endeavors! I also wanted to thank you for your offer to write a letter to my nephew who's serving in the military. The good news is that he's currently in Kuwait and should be home within two weeks! But your kindness is so greatly appreciated. I'm sending good thoughts and prayers to your son, and I hope he'll be home soon, too. Have a wonderful day~~ :)

  4. Sherri B, I'm so happy to hear about your nephew. Oh, how I know what its like to wait for news that they've arrived in Kuwait. Glad he's out of harms way and I know your family will be glad when his feet are back on American soil.
