Most of my shooting lately has been of people and events, versus beauty for beauty's sake. So, I had to go back to my archives to find this shot of a thistle to fit with today's Texture Tuesday challenge. The texture used here is Kim Klassen's "Phoebe," which has quickly become one of my faves. I had to pull out the edges a because the frame doesn't do so well with a darker background. This image, with its altered tones also seemed a good fit for Tones on Tuesday so I'm linking up there as well.
The texture Phoebe was also put to good use on the following barn shot that I also pulled from my archives. Again, I had to pull out the edges because parts of the frame disappeared. This flock of wild turkeys make a regular appearance on the path where I walk each morning and I've always thought this little barn was photogenic as well. I'm happy to have found something to contribute to this week's Barn Charm and just in time for Turkey day.

Finally, this next shot is linked up with Sweet Shot Tuesday. It was captured at Saturday's package drive for the troops sponsored by Tennessee Marine Family. It was totally set up for me when I was noticed snapping away at the boxes being loaded. I love it when folks get in on the fun and come up with great ideas for a sweet shot.

That's all for me today. Have a terrific Tuesday!
