It's a Sign

Picture the Holidays Day 9 - It's a Sign

Thiry Days Of Thanks Picture The Holidays - Day 9

There is nothing more fun than discovering the right word at the right time. It may be meaningful and telling or it could just be something random and entertaining. Signs can warn us, lead us, remind us or even state the obvious. Whatever the case, it's our job to interpret the signs as they pertain to our own lives. What the signs really say is up to us.

Here's another shot from our hometown Christmas parade. The theme was supporting our troops, and I loved this yellow ribbon tree. The banner read "All Hearts Come Home For Christmas." Our boy and the entire 1/6 are in our hearts and will be with us at Christmas in spirit, but we want all those precious hearts home soon.

The time is getting near and this week I happily sent off my last care package of this deployment as we were notified it was time to stop sending mail.

The parade also brought the opportunity to snag some more Scavenger Hunt 101 items:

#13 - Someone Wearing Polka Dots

#13 Someone Wearing Polkadots

#100 - A Funny Hat

#100 A funny hat

Finally, for today, I wanted to include this little guy just because he makes me smile. There were a few animal shelter groups at the parade, and this was one that was up for adoption and very happy to be a part of the day:

I think I'll give him a little exposure over at Shoot. Edit. Submit. this week. By the way, I received my prize for being the monthly Winner last month from Ashely over at After Nine-to-Five. It was adorable! I gave it a little instagram love when it arrived. I thought the paper bag it came in was cute and had to giggle at the ad for a "Steady Woman."

My Shoot. Edit. Submit. Prize came yesterday

Speaking of Instagram, I also shared a shot of my new blog calling cards that I ordered from Vistaprint. I think they turned out pretty well and now I have something to give folks who see me taking pictures and want to see them or my parents to give out when they brag to people about their "daughter the photographer." :)

My blog calling cards arrived today from vistaprint!

  1. Your cards look so professional and in keeping with the brand you're developing. Simply superb.

Gee, I think I'll just follow you and and do what you're doing!

My first day of freedom was actually quite marvelous.

Hope you have a grand weekend.
