Picture The Holidays - Day 22
I'm giving you permission to shut down today in order to properly reboot. Even if only for 10 minutes at your desk during your lunch break. Or when you put the baby down for her nap, or right in the middle of what you are doing right now even. Because your prompt today is to capture rest, however you can manage it, I'm holding you accountable. Tricky, aren't I?
I took today's shot at the hometown Christmas parade earlier this month. Even with all the excitement and noise surrounding her, this little sweetie could not keep her eyes open. She was so out of it, I was really worried she was going to fall off the parade float. Here is a little collage I made from all the shots I took of her.
That's sort of how I feel this holiday season - chaos around me and all I want is a nap. Today begins the first day of my vacation, although I am fighting the urge to go into the office because there is so much to be done. Even though I'm supposed to be off until January 2nd, I'm not sure I'll be able to avoid going in just a little. We'll see.
Today, there are presents to be wrapped, a little shopping to finish up, and a cheesecake to bake. Maybe somewhere in there I'll even find time to take a nap. After all, I'm being held accountable to do so, right?
