For This or That Thursday, I thought I'd share a little more of the fun I've been having with Topaz Labs Adjust. Once I realized the capabilities of this great plug in, I knew it was the processing I needed for these photos taken at Bell Buckle, TN last August.
I loved the quaint and country vibe of this little town, but I just couldn't fall in love with my images until I put some Topaz Labs "Psychedelic" to them and WOW! This little discovery has opened a whole new realm of possibility for those archived images collecting dust on my hard drive.
A friend of mine, who does weddings in a renovated older home saw these and she is interested in pictures of her place processed with this treatment so she can use them in her web and print advertising.
I think there are lots of possibilities for selling work with this sort of treatment, and I have a Christmas card pending approval at Greeting Card Universe using this treatment that I can't wait to reveal to you.
Speaking of the greeting card biz, I was THRILLED to sell 200 (yes two-hundred!) of my patriotic Christmas cards to a buyer in Michigan yesterday! You may recall, I'm donating 100% of my commission to the LCpl Franklin N. Watson Scholarship fund. This absolutely made my day! I also received approval yesterday for my "bridge" card.
Quite a few of you have asked how the Fine Art America endeavor was going, and right now its not really going anywhere. I'm uploading new work, but it will require some time and effort to market it. FAA has a community of its own that I probably need to plug into more. I just don't have that kind of time right now. They have made a lot of money from me on my own orders though and the quality is superb! Maybe some day I'll be celebrating a legitimate sale.
I'll leave you with my personal favorite from the Bell Buckle set and wish you all a happy December 1st!
