I'm combining today's Texture Tuesday "Free and Easy eDition" challenge with this week's Quotography theme of green. I used Kim's recently released "Paper Love" texture in the soft light blending mode at 100% and brushed out the texture from the center so the green and detail would pop more. Otherwise, this was a quick and easy job.
I shot this daisy using my brand new Kenko Auto Extension Tube Set and Nikkor 50mm f/1.4D lens . I'm still trying to figure out how to use the extension tubes AND the lens, but I was pretty pleased with how this macro turned out.
Here's the image without the quote and the texture.
Speaking of "two takes" on the same image, I am excited to have signed up for the "Two Takes" month long prompt challenge offered by Tracey Clark and Bindu Wiles. It was Bindu's guest post entitled "How to Live" and her honest admission of being in her own dark place that resonated with me in a profound way.
When I had a look at Bindu's site and realized her particular area of expertise was writing, it seemed that the combination of photography and writing fits in well with where I think my word of the year (calling) is leading me. I just had to sign up. I suppose you could say it "called" to me.
The class starts March 15th so I'll be posting more on this soon.
