A Touch of Color

bradford blossoms

Today I'm playing a little catch up with my Beyond Layers class with this image. Our challenge was to create a black and white image, masking out a bit of color. I gathered these blooms from a volunteer Bradford Pear tree in my back yard and placed them in one of those blue Ball canning jars I scavenged from the abandoned house near me.

My back is still in fairly bad shape this morning. I know there are many people in the world who live with chronic pain, and I'm grateful that this is only temporary. I can't imagine what it would be like to struggle with physical pain day in and day out. I need to get better because it is time to get out and ho around in the garden.

  1. Beautiful! I love the hint of color. I hope your back feels better soon. I have back pain, too, but it's just from sitting at the computer too much.
