Beside Still Waters

lake

This week's Quotography theme is water so I pulled from recent archives to find today's image. This shot was taken in Sewannee, Tennessee in front of the Templeton Library. When I'm on retreat at St. Mary's Sewannee, I walk up the hill to this spot each morning and spend time sitting quietly by the still waters.

  1. That's beautiful, both picture and quote - and I love Thoreau....I just started reading his book "Walden".
